Day 5 of Phuket Trip

Wednesday, the third day of our training. Both of us still going strong and fighting fit, thanks to the super food we have been eating (more on that later). Then again, if you are eating well and having enough rest, that will do just right for training. Resting/sleeping is one of the most important part of a health you! Your body need rest to repair itself, combine with eating well, you will feel the difference.

Way out to town Night Market

So today’s morning training are pretty much the same as the other day. Sparring for 5 rounds, bag work, technique and finish off with kicks and knees. The usual, we wash up and decided to eat out today. Many of Rawai’s students like to eat at this place called “Cashew Nuts Thai Food”. This place is amazing! The boss, she is super friendly. She will tell you what you can do in Phuket. The chef is super cool too. Her cooking is superb!

Since I have a craving for green curry, I order “Green Curry with Chicken and Brown Rice”. Just in case you don’t know, Brown Rice (unpolished rice) is better then White Rice (polished rice). It is because when the rice is being polish, the process strip away all the nutrient in them hence it has earn it’s name “Empty Carb” (more on this topic later). Caroline ordered “Basil Pork with Brown Rice” and man! it was Delicious.

After lunch, we headed back to our room and continue our rest. As we do not want to tired out ourselves, we just chilled in the room till it’s time for the noon training.

The noon training are pretty much the same. Just that we did not do clinching. We focus on technique. I’m pair up with Thilo from Germany – Nubia Gym. Man! That guy is a tough a*s. His body is superb!

Anyway, after the training, we went to the night market for a walk. As it’s Wednesday, the night market will be located at the open field just outside the gym. We bought some snack and we hit back to our room for dinner and watch some TV, rest and call it a day.
